![]() ![]() Otherwise I'll be in a real bind come the next semester of college. I'm usually not one to make a fuss, but this issue with pay can't go unresolved. Even though I've been working a fuck ton, since most of my shifts have been that overnight, my overall pay hasn't been reflecting how much I've truly been working (had 11 shifts in a row one time). Where the pay is really getting to me is that I'm one of the few people, if not the only person, on my team willing to work the overnight shift that we have, which is also the shortest shift at 7 hours. I also recently became a trainer this past month and at least 30% of my shifts this month have been training shifts, which has been some added stress, but the pay bump is nice. What's more, a scribe that started after me is now making $10.25 an hour after working less altogether. After checking on the employee website, I see that I'm only making $9.45 hourly, even though I'm closing in on 1100 hours. What with how much I'm working, I expected my paycheck to be a little more substantial, which it wasn't. I was told when I was hired that after a 300 hour probationary period, I would get a raise from $7.25 to $10.00 hourly. I've even worked some doubles for time and a half. I, myself, have worked 20-plus shifts a month for the past 2 months and it's likely the next month will be the same. As such, those of us left have been working much more than usual. We've had at least six experienced scribes quit due to school acceptance or better opportunities. The last couple of months have been hell for my team.
